Parc Llandudno: Shops, Parking, Directions and Opening Times
The edge-of-centre shopping park that pulled Marks and Spencer out of Llandudno town centre, with Primark, Next and The Range alongside it. There is no website. None. We tested four likely addresses and not one answered. Everything below comes from the letting agent's own documents, the retailers' store pages, Conwy council's planning evidence and the local record — including the two places where the agent's own figures disagree with each other.
Parc Llandudno sits on Conway Road on the town-centre side of Llandudno, a few hundred yards from the Victorian streets that made the town famous and directly alongside the Mostyn Champneys retail park and an Asda superstore. It is a conventional open retail park — a terrace of large boxes facing a car park — and it is the reason Marks and Spencer no longer trades on Mostyn Street.
The first thing to say about it is the strangest. Parc Llandudno has no website. Not a thin one, not a holding page, not a JavaScript-only one we could not read — nothing. We tested parcllandudno.co.uk, www.parcllandudno.co.uk, parcllandudno.com and llandudnoshoppingpark.co.uk by direct request on 12 September 2026 and every one failed to connect at all. No search we ran surfaced a store directory, an opening-hours page or a contact page published by anyone acting for the park.
What exists instead is a letting agent\'s portfolio entry. The park is marketed and asset-managed by HLRE, a retail and leisure property consultancy on a Liverpool-area number, which publishes a short scheme page and an April 2026 brochure. Those two documents are the closest thing to an official source this park has — and they disagree with each other on both the floor area and the number of parking spaces. We have printed both versions of each and picked neither.
Nobody names the owner. Not HLRE, not Completely Retail, not the trade press, not the contractor who fitted out The Range and described its own job as "landlord enabling works" without saying whose landlord. No sale of Parc Llandudno has ever been reported anywhere we could reach. We have left the owner unresolved rather than guess, and we have been careful not to confuse it with Mostyn Estates, which owns the empty M&S building in the town centre — a different landlord, a different building, half a mile away.
What follows is drawn from HLRE\'s scheme page and brochure, Next\'s and Primark\'s own store pages, Completely Retail\'s Llandudno index, Conwy County Borough Council\'s retail evidence base, a main contractor\'s project record and the reporting of a 2014 planning row. Where nothing is published — and here that includes opening hours, the parking tariff, accessibility and the year it opened — we say so.
Whilst ideally a leading chain such as TK Maxx might have gone into the town centre, the fact that they are coming into Llandudno at all will be a huge bonus for the town in terms of employment opportunities.
The essentials
| Detail | Parc Llandudno |
|---|---|
| What it is | An open, edge-of-centre shopping park of 13 retail units anchored by Marks and Spencer, Primark, Next and The Range, with open A1 planning consent. Mostyn Champneys Retail Park next door is a separate scheme with different owners and agents. Its tenants and floorspace are not this park's. |
| Address | Parc Llandudno, Conway Road, Llandudno LL30 1PX |
| Satnav postcode | LL30 1PX Given as "Conway Road" by the agent and by Next, "Conwy Road" by several directories, and "Mostyn Broadway" on Primark's own store address. All share LL30 1PX. |
| Opened | Not published No opening year exists in any source we could reach — not the agent, not the council's retail evidence base, not the local record. |
| Size | About 168,000 sq ft of open A1 retail space (letting agent's scheme page) The same agent's April 2026 brochure gives a total built area of 11,756 sq m — 126,538 sq ft — plus a mezzanine of 5,935 sq m, or 63,869 sq ft. Ground plus mezzanine comes to 190,407 sq ft. The headline 168,000 figure matches neither. Nothing published reconciles them. |
| Number of stores | 13 retail units The agent's unit schedule actually prints 15 lines because units 8 and 9 are each split into a and b. A unit is not a shop: a third-party directory still lists 22 "stores" here including Debenhams, Topshop and Outfit, which tells you how old that list is. |
| Largest units | Unit 1 at 30,068 sq ft plus a 30,171 sq ft mezzanine; unit 10 at 20,172 sq ft plus 20,236 sq ft Unit 10 is Primark, from Primark's own store address. The agent names M&S as a 60,000 sq ft anchor, which matches unit 1 almost exactly — but that is our arithmetic, not a published statement. |
| Parking | 563 spaces (agent's scheme page) or 566 (agent's April 2026 brochure) Two documents by the same agent, three spaces apart. No tariff is published by either. |
| Parking charges | Not published by anyone with an instruction on the park A third-party directory states free for two hours then £2 an hour, number-plate controlled, with its rates noted as checked in September 2022. Four years old, and not an operator statement. Read the signs on arrival. |
| Height restriction | Not published Nobody states a height limit. In a van or with a roof box, judge it on site. |
| EV charging | Not confirmed Neither agent document mentions it. We did not reach Zapmap or PlugShare on this pass, so treat it as unknown rather than absent. |
| Owner | Unresolved No source names a landlord and no sale has ever been reported. Mostyn Estates, often mentioned in the same breath, owns the former M&S building in the town centre, not this park. |
| Managed and let by | HLRE, a retail and leisure property consultancy Named on the instruction: Paul Anderson and Tudor Williams on the scheme page, plus Nalin Nilaweera and Gareth Owen on the April 2026 brochure. Switchboard 0151 632 7575 — an agent's office, not a customer line. |
| Catchment | Over 500,000 shoppers within a 60-minute drive, 46.5% ABC1 The agent's own brochure figures, April 2026, published to let space. |
| Footfall | Not published The only footfall data in the public record for Llandudno measures the town centre, not this site. |
| Website | None parcllandudno.co.uk, www.parcllandudno.co.uk, parcllandudno.com and llandudnoshoppingpark.co.uk were all tested on 12 September 2026 and none answered. A Facebook page exists but blocks automated reading, so we could not confirm it is official or use it for hours. |
| Phone | Not published The park has no customer number. Individual stores publish their own. |
Opening times
| Day | Hours |
|---|---|
| Park-wide hours | None published there is no operator, so there is no park-wide statement of any kind |
| Next (Unit 5), Monday to Friday | 9am – 8pm next.co.uk store page, checked 12 September 2026 |
| Next (Unit 5), Saturday | 9am – 7pm next.co.uk store page |
| Next (Unit 5), Sunday | 10am – 4.30pm next.co.uk store page; a third-party directory says 10.30am, see the note below |
| Marks and Spencer | Not readable the M&S store page for Parc Llandudno exists but served us navigation code only. A third-party directory claims 8am – 8pm on weekdays; we cannot confirm it. |
| Primark (Unit 10) | Not published on Primark's own store page the page loads and confirms the store, but carries no hours block at all |
| Third-party "core" hours | 9am – 6pm Monday to Saturday, most shops 11am – 5pm Sunday shopsnearme.com, an aggregator, not the park |
| Bank holidays, Christmas, New Year | Nothing published by anyone |
This is the worst hours situation we have met on any park, and the reason is simple: there is nobody to ask. Most schemes at least contradict themselves across their own pages. Parc Llandudno publishes nothing, because it has no site to publish it on. So the table above is not the park speaking — it is individual retailers speaking about their own shops, plus one aggregator we have labelled as such.
Next is the one source worth trusting. Next runs a properly server-rendered store locator, its Parc Llandudno page is at Unit 5, and on 12 September 2026 it gave Monday to Friday 9am to 8pm, Saturday 9am to 7pm and Sunday 10am to 4.30pm. That is a first-party statement about a real shop on this park, and it is the only one we have.
The two big anchors publish nothing readable. Marks and Spencer has a store page for Parc Llandudno — marksandspencer.com/stores/parc-llandudno-1600 — and it exists, but it served us the site\'s navigation markup and no store data. Primark\'s own page loads, confirms the store and lists its departments, but carries no opening hours whatsoever. H&M and Mango, our usual fallbacks on a park like this, are not tenants here.
One direct conflict, which we are not resolving. Next\'s own page says the store opens at 10am on Sunday; the aggregator shopsnearme says 10.30am. If a Sunday morning arrival matters, assume the later time. A separate directory, ukmalls.co.uk, gives park hours of 7am to 10pm Monday to Saturday — not credible for a park of this type, and the same page still lists Debenhams, so we have left it out of the table as an outlier.
Getting there
By road
Use LL30 1PX and do not trust anyone who gives you an A55 junction number for this park, including us. There is no operator to publish one. The only road guidance in existence is in the letting agent\'s April 2026 brochure, and we are quoting it verbatim rather than improving on it: the park is "easily accessible off the A55 dual carriageway", with "rapid access to the national motorway network via A55/M56". The same brochure gives drive times of nine minutes to the A55 expressway and 54 minutes to the M56.
The A55 is junction-numbered all the way through North Wales, so there certainly is a junction — but nobody with authority over this site says which one, and getting it wrong around here puts you on the far side of the Conwy estuary with a river between you and the shops. Follow the postcode into Llandudno and pick the park up off Conway Road, alongside Mostyn Champneys and the Asda.
Parking
Either 563 spaces or 566, depending on which of the agent\'s two documents you read. Nobody with an instruction on the park publishes what it costs. The only tariff figure anywhere is a third-party directory\'s: free for two hours, then £2 an hour, enforced by automatic number-plate recognition — and that directory dates its own rates check to September 2022.
Take the signs seriously. No parking operator is named anywhere, so we cannot tell you who issues the charge notices, but reviewers describe receiving £85 charges. Number-plate recognition plus an unpublished tariff plus an unnamed enforcement contractor is a combination that catches people out. Photograph the tariff board when you arrive. No height restriction, coach parking, taxi rank or cycle parking is published for the site either.
By train
Llandudno station, the town\'s terminus, is the nearest station. No walking distance or time is published by anyone — not by an operator, because there isn\'t one, and not by the rail companies. Llandudno Junction is a different station: the bigger interchange on the main North Wales coast line, across the estuary, and not the station for this park. The similarity of the names causes real trouble; check which one your ticket is for.
By bus
No bus route numbers are published for Parc Llandudno by any source we could reach. Buses plainly serve the Conway Road and Mostyn Broadway corridor — it is the main road into town — but we are not going to list route numbers we cannot attribute.
Accessibility
Nothing at all is published. No accessible toilet statement, no Changing Places toilet, no Shopmobility scheme, no wheelchair hire, no quiet hours, no assistance-dog policy, no blue-badge bay count. We could not surface an AccessAble guide for the park. This is a direct consequence of the missing website, and it is the single biggest gap on this page. If access determines whether you can make the trip, ring the individual store you are going to.
The shops
The letting agent describes 13 retail units and names four anchors: Marks and Spencer at 60,000 sq ft, Next, Primark and The Range. Its brochure prints a unit schedule with sizes but — unusually for a letting document — does not name the tenant in a single unit. What follows is assembled from the retailers\' own store pages and from Completely Retail\'s Llandudno index.
The anchors
- Marks and Spencer — the agent\'s 60,000 sq ft anchor, and the reason this park matters to Llandudno. It relocated here from Mostyn Street in March 2022.
- Primark — unit 10, 20,172 sq ft with a 20,236 sq ft mezzanine, so roughly 40,000 sq ft over two floors. Click & Collect, with womenswear, kidswear, menswear, nightwear and home.
- Next — unit 5, 14,057 sq ft plus a 1,291 sq ft mezzanine, with menswear, womenswear, petite, childrenswear, home, a lingerie room and Click & Collect.
- The Range — named as an anchor by the agent, and the only tenant whose arrival we can date to the month (see below).
The rest
Completely Retail\'s Llandudno index, which files this park as "Llandudno Retail Park, LL30 1PX", names Boots, JD Sports and River Island alongside Next. An aggregator adds Costa Coffee, EE, New Look, Superdrug, TUI and a Regatta/Craghoppers; none of those six is corroborated by the retailer\'s own page, so treat them as likely rather than confirmed.
What we can date — and it is not much
March 2022: Marks and Spencer opens here, leaving Mostyn Street. Conwy\'s own planning reporting later recorded the consequence: the town-centre multistorey car park saw a 40% decline in use, and Mostyn Street\'s footfall counters fell too. The history section below picks the story up from there.
March to June 2022: The Range fits out. The contractor Deacon & Jones records a £0.5m project here — "strip out of an existing retail unit and construction of new external garden centre", The Range as proposed occupant, March to June 2022. The job is titled "Landlord Enabling Works" and, characteristically for this park, it does not name the landlord. Local headlines say the unit was Outfit\'s.
River Island: reported closing, and we cannot date it
Four local newspaper headlines track the story — the store being considered "safe", then not being on a list of 33 closures, then revealing it is closing, then its last day of trading. Every one of those articles is on a publisher that blocks us, so we have the headlines and not the dates. Assume River Island has gone or is going, and do not travel for it.
What used to be here
One directory still carries a 22-name list for Parc Llandudno that reads like an archaeological layer: Debenhams and a Debenhams restaurant, Topshop, Topman, Burton, Miss Selfridge, Evans, Outfit, Laura Ashley, Monsoon Accessorize, First Choice, a Benefit beauty bar and an Estée Lauder counter — nearly all nationally defunct or withdrawn. It is the only evidence we found that a Debenhams ever traded here, and no source dates a single one of those departures. We print it as history, not as a shopping list. A Pandora also came and went, traceable only to a community post and a blocked headline about a gift shop taking "the ex-Pandora unit".
Useful to know
Go with a plan, because the park will not give you one
There is no directory board online, no opening-hours page, no contact number and no accessibility statement. If your trip depends on a specific shop being open, look that shop up on its own chain\'s store finder first. Next\'s is reliable; Primark\'s and M&S\'s are not, at least for this branch.
The parking is the thing to watch
Number-plate recognition, an unpublished tariff, an unnamed enforcement contractor and reviewers reporting £85 charges. Read the board, photograph it, and note your arrival time. This is the kind of site where a long lunch after a shop turns into a letter.
Two parks, one car park entrance apart
Parc Llandudno and Mostyn Champneys sit next to each other and are constantly confused. They are separate schemes with separate ownership and separate letting agents. Mostyn Champneys is where you will find Home Bargains, DFS, TK Maxx, Currys, Smyths Toys and B&M; Parc Llandudno is where M&S, Primark, Next and The Range are. There is also a standalone B&Q on Mostyn Broadway, and the enclosed Victoria Centre — about 100,000 sq ft, Boots-anchored — on Mostyn Street. Four destinations, one town.
Note also the duelling superlatives: HLRE calls Parc Llandudno "the premier shopping park in North Wales", while Completely Retail calls Mostyn Champneys "the largest out of town retail destination in North Wales". Both are marketing copy written to let space, and we endorse neither.
The town centre is walkable from here
This is an edge-of-centre park, not a bypass box. Mostyn Street, the Victoria Centre, the promenade and the pier are all within a comfortable walk. That is worth knowing in both directions: it is why the M&S move mattered so much to the town, and it is why a trip here does not have to end in the car park.
Things nobody publishes
Cash machines, Wi-Fi, toilets, baby changing, a Changing Places toilet, Shopmobility, wheelchair hire, lost property, gift cards, a dogs policy, quiet hours, coach parking, a taxi rank and cycle racks. Absent from the record is not the same as absent from the park — a park with an M&S and a Primark will have toilets — but we cannot confirm any of it, and there is no number to ring.
How it got here
We could not establish when Parc Llandudno opened. No agent document, no council retail study, no planning record and no local source we could reach gives a year, and we are not going to reverse-engineer one from a tenant\'s arrival. Conwy County Borough Council\'s LDP evidence base — its Retail Centre Health Checks paper of August 2018 — treats the park as an established fixture, noting that "LDP designations include a Primary Shopping Area, Shopping Zone and Retail Parks at Parc Llandudno and Mostyn Champneys", and that "Nine key attractor national retail brands are found in Llandudno town centre, and another nine in the retail parks".
2014: the row that shows how the two parks work
The best-documented episode in the park\'s life is a planning fight it lost. In 2014 TK Maxx wanted a unit at Mostyn Champneys. Parc Llandudno objected, arguing that "The proposed operator in this location will duplicate the goods range of a significant number of town centre stores" — the town-centre-protection argument, deployed by one out-of-centre park against another. TK Maxx rejected an alternative unit offered at Parc Llandudno on the grounds that "there was no prominent frontage and it would be squeezed between two other units". Janet Finch-Saunders, then Assembly Member for Aberconwy, backed the store arriving at all, and TK Maxx is at Mostyn Champneys today.
2022: the anchor moves, and the town centre notices
The defining event in Parc Llandudno\'s recent history is Marks and Spencer\'s relocation here in March 2022 from Mostyn Street. The store took what the agent describes as a 60,000 sq ft anchor unit — almost certainly unit 1, at 30,068 sq ft with a 30,171 sq ft mezzanine, though nobody publishes the tenant-to-unit mapping and that identification is ours.
The effect on the town centre was measured and published. Conwy\'s planning reporting recorded a 40% fall in use of the town-centre multistorey car park after the move, and reduced footfall on Mostyn Street\'s counters. The vacated building sat empty until December 2023, when the council\'s planning committee voted unanimously — against its own officers\' recommendation of refusal — to allow its owner, Mostyn Estates, to change its use from retail to a mix of retail, food and drink and indoor leisure. Councillor Louise Emery argued the town needed "an ambitious redevelopment of this site with indoor leisure, food hall dining experiences with retail".
The same spring the park\'s other notable change was under way: the £0.5m strip-out and garden-centre build for The Range, March to June 2022.
An ownership chain that stops before it starts
There is no ownership chain to write, because nobody publishes the first link. HLRE manages and lets the park and names four of its own people on the instruction, but never names a client. Completely Retail has no scheme page for Parc Llandudno at all — its Llandudno index carries the park only as an unattributed "Llandudno Retail Park, LL30 1PX" entry, with occupiers listed and no owner and no agent. No sale, refinancing or transfer has ever been reported in any source we could reach.
We have left the owner unresolved. The obvious next step, which we did not take on this pass, is Companies House and the Register of Overseas Entities against the site\'s title. Until somebody does that, anyone telling you who owns Parc Llandudno is guessing.
If you are comparing Welsh parks, the ones we have written up elsewhere are Parc Trostre at Llanelli, Parc Fforestfach at Swansea and Broughton Shopping Park near Chester — the last of which is the North Wales scheme Llandudno shoppers most often trade up to.
What we could not check
- Parc Llandudno has no website. We tested parcllandudno.co.uk, www.parcllandudno.co.uk, parcllandudno.com and llandudnoshoppingpark.co.uk by direct request on 12 September 2026 and none of them answered at all. There is a Facebook page, but it blocks automated reading, so we could not confirm it is official or use anything on it.
- The owner is unresolved. No source names a landlord for Parc Llandudno, and no sale has ever been reported. HLRE manages and lets the park but never names its client, and the contractor who fitted out The Range described its job as "landlord enabling works" without saying whose. Mostyn Estates owns the former M&S building in the town centre, which is a different site.
- The floor area is given three different ways by the same agent. HLRE's scheme page says 168,000 sq ft; its April 2026 brochure says a built area of 126,538 sq ft plus a 63,869 sq ft mezzanine, which totals 190,407 sq ft. Nothing published reconciles them and we have not picked one.
- The parking space count differs between the agent's own two documents — 563 on the scheme page, 566 in the April 2026 brochure — and no height restriction is published for the car park by any source.
- No park-wide opening hours exist from any party with an instruction on the scheme, because there is no operator publishing anything. Everything in the hours table is either a single retailer speaking about its own shop or an aggregator, labelled as such. Next's Sunday opening time is itself disputed: Next's own store page says 10am, the aggregator shopsnearme says 10.30am, and we have resolved neither.
- The parking tariff is third-party and four years old. Free for two hours then £2 an hour, with number-plate recognition, comes from a directory whose own rates note says September 2022; no operator confirms it. No parking enforcement company is named anywhere, so we cannot tell you who issues the charge notices that reviewers describe receiving. Read the tariff board.
- Electric vehicle charging is unconfirmed — neither of the agent's documents mentions it, and we did not reach Zapmap or PlugShare on this pass. Treat it as unknown rather than absent, and do not rely on charging here.
- There is no published accessibility information of any kind — no accessible toilets, Changing Places, Shopmobility, wheelchair hire, quiet hours, assistance-dog policy or blue-badge bay count, and no AccessAble guide we could surface. This is the largest single gap on the page.
- No bus route numbers are published for the park, and no walking distance or time from Llandudno station is published by anyone. Llandudno Junction is a different station across the estuary, not the one for this park.
- No A55 junction number appears on this page, deliberately. With no operator there is nobody to publish one. The agent's brochure says only that the park is "easily accessible off the A55 dual carriageway" with "rapid access to the national motorway network via A55/M56". Use LL30 1PX.
- River Island's closure cannot be dated. Four local newspaper reports track it, and all of them are on publishers that block us. We have the headlines and not the dates.
- The 22-name store list including Debenhams, Topshop and Outfit is historic, not current. It is the only evidence we found that a Debenhams ever traded here, and not one of those departures can be dated from any source.
- Which tenant occupies which unit is largely unpublished. The agent's unit schedule gives sizes and no names. Next as unit 5 and Primark as unit 10 come from the retailers' own addresses; Marks and Spencer as unit 1 is our arithmetic from the agent's 60,000 sq ft anchor figure.
- No opening year and no footfall figure for the park exist in any source. The 40% car park decline and the Mostyn Street counters measure the town centre, not this site. There is no phone number for the park and no named centre manager — HLRE's 0151 632 7575 is a letting agent's switchboard. Pandora's arrival and departure are likewise unverified.
- Mostyn Champneys Retail Park is a separate scheme. Its floorspace, its tenants and its claim to be "the largest out of town retail destination in North Wales" belong to it, not to Parc Llandudno — as do the B&Q on Mostyn Broadway and the Victoria Centre on Mostyn Street.
